Petronav Technical Manager Marios Drousiotis is the recipient of the YoungShip Cyprus Honorary Award for the year 2020. As per YoungShip, the award “recognizes and honors a professional who has served in leadership roles, for his/her long-standing contribution to the shipping industry, and who continuously inspires by integrity while supporting the younger generation in the shipping industry for future progress development.”

Due to Covid-19 measures, the annual gala dinner organized by Youngship Cyprus to honor those who excel in the Cyprus shipping industry was not held this year. Instead, YoungShip Cyprus’ President, Antonis Varnava, personally presented the award in Mr. Drousiotis’ office.

“Marios’ outstanding contribution and support to the younger generation is well-known to those within the Cyprus shipping industry, and it is with great satisfaction that we present him this award today,” said Mr. Varnava.

Receiving the award, Mr. Drousiotis responded by saying that he “will continue to support the next generation of the shipping industry and help them navigate towards their destination”.
