Telkomsel and Ericsson announced their renewed partnership to grow and strengthen their existing 4G / 5G networks footprint in Indonesia. Ericsson has been providing connectivity and has deployed its energy-efficient 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) products and solutions from the Ericsson Radio System in Aceh, Northern Sumatra, Central & West Sumatra and Eastern part of Kalimantan, including New Capitol City (Nusantara). Thus, in B2B (Business-to-Business) segment, 5G services for Industry have been pioneered through 5G deployment in a leading manufacturing company in Batam since 2021.

Ericsson is powering Telkomsel’s network with its ultra-lightweight, energy-efficient Massive MIMO antenna integrated radio AIR 3219 that will serve to address future 5G and Fixed Wireless Access and Convergence (FWA/FMC) requirements.

The new generation Massive MIMO radios from Ericsson have been developed with the goal of having industry-leading, energy efficient products with the smallest size and lightest weight possible.
