Centrostiledesign and Sessa marine complete delivery of the new FLY 21 GULLWING

THE PROJECT JUST COMPLETED WILL FLY TO CHINA IN RECORD TIME.

Sporty design and two innovative side doors that illuminate the interiors: these are the main features of the project fruit of the collaboration between the shipyard and Davide Cipriani’s company.

It is the project par excellence collaboration between CENTROSTILEDESIGN and Sessa Marine: Sessa Fly 21 Gullwing is the synergistic fusion between exterior and interior design studies and testing that takes shape in 21 metres of sporty and sinuous lines. Today, one year since it was presented at the last Cannes Yachting Festival, the newcomer is ready to fly to China to a customer that is inaugurating the conquest of a new and rich market to satisfy.

And thus the project of the team led by Davide Cipriani has become a reality. The team followed every stage of its development, starting from the concept inspired by the automotive world, revolutionising the 21 metre Fly segment with a gritty and dynamic design in which the flybridge, although larger than the average, is perfectly integrated with the entire structure.

The distinctive elements of the project include the two original glass gull-wing openings, made in house by CENTROSTILEDESIGN and equipped with a practical and innovative opening mechanism that maximises luminosity and airiness of the main deck. In this way owner and guests can enjoy navigation while feeling in close contact with the sea owing to the interaction between interiors and exteriors and the predominance of materials such as glass and crystal. All this was studied in order to provide the greatest liveability possible to a 21-metre-long yacht equipped with customisations perfectly compatible with
measurements, style, and numeric and engineering parameters of the whole structure.
The maximum exploitation of natural light is ensured by large glass walls covering a surface of over 40 square metres, which in addition to allowing for greater interaction with the outside – along with other refined details such as the glass stairs and LED lighting on marble ceilings – enhance the elegance of the interiors with detailed and cadenced references to the new trends in luxury home living.

Thanks to the study of lines and shapes and the use of modern technical materials such as vacuum infusion, harmony and lightness blend with solidity and optimum utilisation of the space available. In addition, Sessa Fly 21 Gullwing is designed to meet the needs of any owner due to the potential personalisation of its configuration and finishes. Different versions for the Asian and European markets are also available today.

The yacht seals the full-range collaboration between CENTROSTILEDESIGN and Sessa
Marine, one of the world’s leading builders of yachts up to 24 metres. The partnership involves the restyling of two other yachts of the range, the Key Largo 27 and the Coupé 44, both on display at the next Genoa Boat Show.

CENTROSTILEDESIGN emerged from the alliance of two companies with 25 years of history in the nautical and industrial design sectors, and boasts a customer portfolio including the most prominent names of the shipyard industry. Led by Davide Cipriani, today it is a company able to interpret the challenges of the market while at the same time ensure high quality standards and provide its customers with an extremely
complete and well-structured chain of services including concept, design, engineering, fluid dynamic and structural calculations, construction of production models, moulds and scale models, and technical documentation.
