HELMEPA congratulates Associate Member International Propeller Club, Port of Piraeus for its environmental sensitivity

In an original and socially responsible way, the Propeller Club celebrated the 85th anniversary of its founding, by symbolically cleaning the Votsalakia Beach in Piraeus, on Sunday, October 25th. More than 60 volunteers, led by President Mr. Costis Frangoulis and Members of the Board of Governors, participated in the cleanup, meticulously following the protection measures taken due to the pandemic. The waste collected varied but mainly consisted of single use plastics!

The contribution of the Propeller Club to the International Coastal Cleanup Campaign, coordinated every year in Greece by HELMEPA, as well as the active expression of environmental sensitivity from young and older volunteers was praised by the Executive Coordinator of the association, Ms. Christiana Prekezes, who was also present at the event.

All of us at HELMEPA wish the Propeller Club to continue its dynamic course and look forward to more synergies for Clean Seas!
