Shipping Deputy Minister Vassilis Demetriades met online with Cyprus Members of the European Parliament


The Shipping Deputy Minister Vassilios Demetriades thanked the CY Members of the European Parliament and Andreas Kettis for the telemeeting they had last week. Fruitful exchange of views on CY shipping and on ways to effectively contribute to the EU agenda whilst demonstrating that shipping is a strategic asset for Europe!

The Shipping Deputy Minister said “We have laid the foundations for cooperation with the aim of promoting the positions of Cyprus Shipping in the EU as best as possible.Cyprus is recognised and respected in the maritime transport sector and will seek to leave its own imprint on the formulation of the EU’s maritime policy with a view to highlighting that shipping is an important asset in the European construction!”
