Visit of the Cyprus Shipping Deputy Minister to Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association Limited

On the occasion of the commence of Steamship Mutual Underwriting Association (Europe) Limited operations in Cyprus, the Shipping Deputy Minister, Mr Vassilios Demetriades, attended on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, the holy service held at the company’s offices in Limassol.
Steamship Mutual is one of the largest shipping insurance companies operating in the international market.
Mr. Demetriades welcomed the company’s decision to choose Cyprus for their activities, stressing the fact that companies of this calibre confers prestige and consolidates Cyprus as a quality complex of maritime activities of international range.
Welcoming Steamship Mutual in Cyprus, the Shipping Deputy Minister underlined that “the Cyprus Government, through the Shipping Deputy Ministry, is reaching out to shipping companies and companies offering wider shipping services, which choose to locate in Cyprus, as partners and ambassadors of Cyprus Shipping, in an effort to further develop Cyprus as one of the most quality shipping centres in the world”.
Mr. Demetriades wished the company every success and stressed that the effort to attract shipping companies to Cyprus will continue and will be intensified when pandemic conditions permit, with a targeted promotion of the advantages offered by our country, highlighting the excellent infrastructure, attractive business environment and wealth of expertise it has in the shipping sector.
