Sale of Elefsis shipyards well within projected time-frame, says Greek Development & Investments Minister Georgiadis

The sale of Elefsis Shipyards is progressing well within the projected timeframe, said Development & Investments Minister Adonis Georgiadis on Monday, after an on-site visit with Chief Executive Officer of the United States Development Finance Corporation Adam Boehler and US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt.

Together with Deputy Minister Nikos Papathanassis and ONEX CEO Panos Ksenokostas, Georgiadis met at Elefsis with First Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for International Affairs at the US Department of Energy Matthew Zeiss, with President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) Kimberly Reed, with the Deputy Administrator of the US Agency for International Development Bonnie Glick, and executives from a total of six US government agencies.

The purpose of the meeting at Elefsis was the promotion of bilateral economic cooperation with an emphasis on investments in ports, shipyards, energy and advanced technology.
