The new Board of Directors of WISTA Hellas paid a ceremonial visit to the office of the Greek Minister of Shipping and Island Policy Mr. Ioannis Plakiotakis, on Wednesday 15 September.

Also present, the Secretary General of the Aegean and Island Policy, Mrs. Christiana Kalogirou, the President, Ms. Elpi Petraki briefly presented the mission and activities of WISTA Hellas as well as the objectives of the new Board, including the promotion and strengthening the participation of women serving in the Coast Guard but also the recognition of their contribution to the recent challenges facing the country.

After a constructive discussion, the Minister stated that he is looking forward to specific proposals of the Association in this direction and strengthening WISTA Hellas’ cooperation with the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy.
