The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency approves two Greek port projects

The Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) approved funding of two projects aimed to promote short-distance shipping, safeguarding compatibility of infrastructure among Greek ports for the supply of ships with electricity and improving the environmental footprint of ports.
These projects had been submitted with the CEF Transport Call 2019 and were approved by Greek authorities.
Projects ALFION (an alternative supply of fuel in the Igoumenitsa port) and EALING (a European action to introduce technology in cold ironing in ports including those ports of Piraeus and Rafina), are among the 140 basic projects, budgeted at 2.2 billion euros, which will support European transport infrastructure in the coming years.
