Viasat delivers major capacity boost across the United States for JetXP business aviation customers

Premium service now delivers five times more capacity in the world’s largest business aviation market, enhancing the in-flight connectivity experience for private jet travelers
Viasat , a global leader in satellite communications, announced that its JetXP in-flight connectivity solution now delivers five times more capacity in the United States for business aviation customers using Honeywell Aerospace’s JetWave terminals, unlocking an even greater experience across the world’s largest private jet market.
The capacity boost, which was initially rolled out over the Eastern United States, has now expanded nationwide as part of Viasat’s efforts to continuously improve the connectivity experience for JetXP customers. This delivers a more consistent, reliable and high-performance service for data-hungry applications, such as HD video conferencing, content streaming, AI tools and bulk file transfers, used simultaneously on multiple devices.
The latest enhancement is delivered through a software update that further optimizes network management globally. To start benefiting from the additional US capacity, existing JetXP customers should contact their service provider – Collins Aerospace, Gogo, or Honeywell Aerospace – to confirm eligibility and arrange the update.
Claudio D’Amico, Vice President of OEMs, Partners and Fleets, Business Aviation at Viasat, said: “Our customers want to do more in the air, whether that’s a board call, streaming for the family, or sending large files, all at the same time and on every device. We recognize that capacity demand continues to increase and Viasat is focused on supporting our long-standing customers with the consistent experience they expect. We’ll keep investing in JetXP, so it stays one step ahead of what they need.”
Viasat will showcase JetXP, its most advanced business aviation in-flight connectivity solution, at the National Business Aviation Association Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) in Las Vegas, October 20-22, 2026. Activated on more than 2,100 aircraft worldwide, JetXP brings together the legacy Jet ConneX and Viasat Ka services under one unified brand, unleashing the full power of Viasat’s Ka-band network. It includes extensive regulatory approvals, including strategic markets such as India and China, and concierge customer service and 24/7 support through Viasat’s distribution partners. Representatives will be on hand at NBAA-BACE to discuss the capacity boost and the recent introduction of simplified service plans and suggested retail pricing.
