Save the date in your calendar for this promising debate “Shipping Through Times of Turbulence and Innovation”.
The maritime industry is navigating one of the most complex and transformative periods in its history. Against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty, regulatory pressure, and rapid technological change, shipping leaders are required to make strategic decisions in an environment defined by both risk and opportunity.
This year’s debate, “Shipping Through Times of Turbulence and Innovation”, will bring together senior industry stakeholders to explore the most pressing and timely challenges shaping global shipping today.
Discussions will examine the impact of geopolitical volatility on international trade flows, energy security, and supply chains, as well as how ongoing regional conflicts, sanctions, and shifting alliances are redefining operational and commercial strategies.
A central focus will be the industry’s decarbonisation pathway, including the transition to future fuels, investment uncertainty, and the practical implications of the evolving regulatory landscape. Particular attention will be given to the growing concern around the slippage of the IMO Net-Zero framework, its effect on long-term planning, and the balance between regulatory ambition and technical and financial feasibility.
The debate will also address the accelerating pace of technological transformation within shipping. From digitalisation and automation to the increasing influence of artificial intelligence, participants will explore how technology is reshaping vessel operations, fleet management, safety, and strategic decision-making, while also considering the associated challenges around cybersecurity, skills, and governance.
By attending CSN events, you’ll be exposing yourself to new ideas, perspectives, and innovations, accessing valuable knowledge and insights, and giving yourself the opportunity to meet with industry professionals, experts, and like-minded individuals. Nowhere else can you increase your professional visibility, establish business connections, access market intelligence and competitor analysis, and walk away with invaluable connections and potential for partnerships to enhance your organisation’s future.
