With great honor and emotion, Mr. Anastasios Maraslis, President and Founder of Marasco Marine Ltd, was awarded the prestigious title of “Greek Shipping Personality of the Year 2025”, during the special awards ceremony held on June 1st at the Officers’ Club in Athens, under the auspices of the maritime newspaper Maritime Economies.
This recognition celebrates his long-standing contribution to the marine insurance and consultancy sector, the innovative services provided by Marasco Marine in the field of specialized marine coverage, and his unwavering dedication to risk management, prevention, and responsible guidance of shipowners in securing their liabilities during cargo transport by sea.
With over 30 years of presence, Marasco Marine Ltd continues to lead in both Greek and international shipping, offering specialized H&M, P&I, War Risks, and Crew P&I Deductible Buyback Program solutions, as well as consultancy services focused on claims reduction and achieving lower premiums with long-term benefits for shipowners.
“This award is not only an honor but also a reminder of our responsibility to remain true partners of Greek shipping—with integrity, expertise, and genuine care for the people of the sea,” said Mr. Maraslis upon receiving the award.
The event was attended by prominent figures from the shipping, insurance, and business communities, and was followed by a gourmet dinner reception and lively dancing to the tunes of the well-known artist Kostas Haritodiplomenos.
