
On 16.04.24, the Deputy Minister of Shipping, the Mayors of Germasogeia and Agios Athanasios, Salamis Organization, Lemissoler Navigation Ltd., L. Nemitsas Ltd., and Ergonauts presented the awards to the winners of the 3rd Student Competition of the “Supply Chain Management and Maritime Studies” Program of Studies at MIEEK and the 3rd MIEEK Interdepartmental Competition, co-organized by the “Supply Chain Management and Maritime Studies” Program and the Department of “Culinary Arts”.
The topics of this year’s competitions reflected the legislative developments regarding the environment. The theme of the student competition was “Green – Blue: How the Green Deal Affects Shipping” while the MIEK students’ competition had the theme “Green Supply Chain: Feasible or Desirable?” An innovation in this competition this year was the final phase of the debate after the preliminary phase of research and project writing.
Winners in the Student Competition were: 1st Prize: Laniteo Lyceum, 2nd Prize: A’ TESEK, 3rd Prize: St. Peter and Paul Lyceum, Honorable Mention: Agios Nikolaos Lyceum. Winners of the Interdepartmental Competition were: 1st Prize: Chrysis Protopapas, 2nd Prize: Styliani Andreou, and 3rd Prize: Anna Maria Charalambous.Present at the award ceremony were, in addition to the awarded students and their families, important people in the Shipping industry and the Supply Chain. The beautiful evening ended with a reception and cocktails prepared by the students of the “Culinary Arts” Department.
