Announced last Friday night at “The Wave Awards 2021” ceremony, held at 8 Northumberland Avenue, London, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ was the proud winner in the category of ‘Best Expedition Cruise line’. The Wave Awards is one of the first ‘live’ industry events to take place since the lifting of pandemic restrictions.

On the evening, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises was also recognised as ‘Highly Commended’ in the category ‘Best Environmental Initiative’.

Recognising and rewarding excellence in a business that is continuously evolving to deliver an exceptional experience, both on board and ashore, The Wave Awards – in their fifth year – are owned and run by Real Response Media, UK publishers of magazines World of Cruising and Cruise Trade News. The judging panel is made up of distinquished experts and industry representatives, chaired by World of Cruising editor, Vicky Mayer.
