RTCOMM expand cooperation to meet the demand for satellite communication services in the oceans and ashore with Iridium, KNS and Konnect


RTComm.RU JSC (a 100% subsidiary of Rostelecom PJSC) and Iridium Communications LLC (a subsidiary of Iridium Communications Inc.) signed a memorandum of cooperation.

The agreement provides for the expansion of cooperation to improve mobile satellite communication services, including the use of the Iridium network infrastructure on the territory of the Russian Federation. This will allow RTCOMM to improve the reliability of satellite communications for customers living in hard-to-reach and remote areas of Russia.

RTComm.RU JSC (a 100% subsidiary of Rostelecom PJSC) and the leading South Korean manufacturer of satellite communication equipment for mobile objects at sea KNS Inc signed a cooperation agreement.

The agreement provides for the expansion of cooperation in order to improve access to satellite communications on ships to various categories of Russian users. In particular, RTCOMM will be the first among Russian satellite operators to provide communication services on river vessels in the Ka-band using KNS equipment. This will allow RTCOMM to strengthen its leading position in the market of the Marine VSAT service.
