Norwegian Cruise Line names Derek Lloyd Vice President of Strategic and National Accounts

Lloyd to succeed Brennan Quesnele Following his appointment to Senior Vice President of Sales of Oceania Cruises
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL), the innovator in global cruise travel, today announced Derek Lloyd as vice president of Strategic and National Accounts, succeeding Brennan Quesnele who will become senior vice president of Sales at Oceania Cruises effective Feb. 24, 2025.
Following Quesnele’s successful time at NCL, where he was an integral part of the Sales team and served as a true advocate for the travel partner community, Lloyd will now be stepping into the role and be responsible for driving National Account Sales with various travel partners and accounts in the U.S. and Canada. With over 30 years of experience in the cruise industry and almost 25 years with Norwegian Cruise Line, he most recently served as vice president of Field Sales for North America, where he was responsible for the Company’s sales strategy and cultivation of key partner relationships. In his numerous roles, Lloyd has been involved in sales and business development functions in the U.S. and Canada, including contract negotiations, tour operator and consortia account management, as well as customer relationship development.

I am very excited for Derek to take on this new role as Vice President of Strategic and National Accounts. Brennan has done an incredible job at facilitating the growth of this division, and I couldn’t think of anyone else who can step into his role than our very own, Derek Lloyd. Derek has been instrumental in strengthening our engagement with thousands of partners across North America, and I am confident with his experience and passion that he will continue to lead the sales team to new heights.

Norwegian Cruise Line will appoint a new vice president of Field Sales to replace Lloyd’s role soon.

With over 20 years at Norwegian Cruise Line, I’m truly honored to be taking on this new role as Vice President of Strategic and National Accounts.
