OneLearn Global and RINA unite technical training and seafarer wellbeing in new learning partnership

Through this collaboration, the two organisations will expand access to high-quality education designed to strengthen professional competence, human performance and workforce resilience across the maritime sector.
Under the collaboration, selected courses from the RINA Learning Hub will be made available through the OLG Learning Experience Platform (LXP), while selected OLG courses will be offered through the RINA Learning Hub. The initial rollout will focus on Greece and Singapore, with the potential to expand into additional markets.
The partnership comes as the skills required of maritime professionals are expanding rapidly. Decarbonisation, digitalisation, cybersecurity and increasingly complex regulation are changing technical roles across the industry, while greater attention is also being placed on fatigue, mental health, psychological safety and the human factors that influence performance at sea.
By combining RINA’s technical maritime expertise with OLG’s digital learning capabilities and OneCare Group’s expertise in seafarer wellbeing, the collaboration aims to provide maritime organisations with a more holistic approach to workforce development.
The combined offering will cover areas including ship operations, marine surveys, safety, cybersecurity, energy, environmental compliance and maritime regulation, alongside mental health, resilience, fatigue management, psychological safety, leadership and workplace wellbeing.
Marinos Kokkinis, CEO of OneCare Group, said: “The maritime workforce of the future will need more than technical competence alone. Seafarers and shore-based professionals are being asked to manage new technologies, new fuels, changing regulation and increasingly complex operations, often in demanding working environments.
“Training therefore must address the person as well as the profession. Bringing RINA’s technical expertise together with OLG’s digital learning capabilities and OneCare Group’s expertise in wellbeing allows us to take a much more integrated approach to developing maritime professionals.”
Spyridon Zolotas, South Europe Marine Vice President at RINA, added: “The skills required across the maritime industry are evolving rapidly as shipping responds to technological change, the energy transition and new regulatory requirements. Ensuring maritime professionals have access to high-quality, relevant training will be essential as the industry navigates that transformation.
“Our collaboration with OLG broadens access to RINA’s specialist maritime training while complementing it with learning focused on human performance and wellbeing. This gives maritime organisations a more comprehensive way to develop the knowledge, skills and resilience their people need.”
The collaboration reflects a shared belief that maritime learning must increasingly connect technical knowledge with the human factors that influence safety and operational performance. By making complementary learning available across both platforms, OLG and RINA aim to give maritime companies and their people easier access to training that supports professional competence, individual wellbeing and stronger performance at sea and ashore.
