Contribute towards BSM HR Marine goal to ensure competitive advantage through competence, continuity, and retention of professional, motivated and empowered seafarers.
Contribute to the development and integration of systems designed and implemented in a manner that provides for efficient and effective management of HR Marine resources.
Support BSM Cruise FPD, HC, hospitality-related CSC and BSM Yachting in the achievement of the highest levels of efficient and effective system integration and performance.
Contribute towards BSM Cruise and BSM Yachting capability in development and integration of innovative crew recruitment and crew management solutions, and systems to ensure a leading position within the industry.
What Will Your Responsibilities Be?
Key Accountability:
- Support development, and implementation of innovative solutions that will sustain and enhance the attractiveness of BSM Cruise and BSM Yachting as the employer and recruiter of choice leading to improved competitiveness and the achievement of group goals.
- Liaise with HR Marine General Manager Systems & Strategies to support the timely and accurate development and implementation of BSM Cruise & BSM Yachting specific requirements and processes in BSM PAL.
- Support BSM Cruise and BSM Yachting FPDs, CSCs and MTCs in achieving the highest level of engagement and performance in utilization of BSM approved systems in place, identification of areas for improvement and propose changes to enhance the efficiency and cost effectiveness of all operations always in compliance with the local rules and legislation.
- In liaison with MariApps (and any other relevant providers), contributes to ensure that clear instruction and oversight is given when developing new systems to support the HR Marine and Fleet Personnel functions.
- Assist to ensure that the necessary levels of support and training are provided to ship and shore staff in the use of company systems.
- Contributes to ensure that system solutions developed by MariApps, or other providers are fit and proper for HRM, BSM Cruise and BSM Yachting needs. Identify potential discrepancies from set targets and standards, initiate improvements.
- Supports inclusion of Recruitment, Crewing, Payroll and Searoster PAL related workflows in BSM HR Marine and BSM Cruise procedures and manuals.
- Contribute towards development, execution and delivery of allocated projects.
- Promote BSM, BSM Cruise and BSM Yachting as a leading crew management provider, recognized throughout the industry and ensure that best quality service and initiatives aligned to the company philosophy, strategy and goals are provided to seafarers and clients.
- Establish and retain a good working relationship with all stakeholders and colleagues, foster an appropriate social partnership driven by efficient and effective communication.
- Contribute to all other projects and initiatives as required by the HRM GM or HRM Director within personal capabilities and competence.
Requirements
Work Experience:
- At least 3 years’ experience as Fleet Personnel Officer or similar role, and/or
- At least 2 years’ experience as HR Marine Officer – Systems or similar role.
Job specific skills:
- Sound understanding and general knowledge of Cruise, Yachting & hospitality core business and operation.
- Excellent knowledge of the relevant computer systems and software programs, such as MS Excel.
- Strong business acumen.
- Excellent multi-tasking, coordination skills and analytical skills
- Strong organisation, planning and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
