Sales & Customer Support Officer Vacancy at NavTech Supplies

Scope of Duties
This position collaborates with a core team of sales, marketing and customer support, develops and manages technical marine and industrial supplies transactions for a significant portfolio of clientele, suppliers and business associates.
Responsibilities
• Develops strategy and trades ideas and serves as the company’s primary interface to the supply market of ships, offshore and onshore industrial plants.
• Obtains a fundamental understanding of ship technical supplies markets and adheres to all administrative and MS standards/procedures.
• Generates & works enquiries (this includes selecting the required sources / suppliers) for world-wide supplies of marine & industrial technical products and services to vessels/customers across the globe in accordance with specified procedures.
• Maintains close business relationships with customer & supplier accounts and develops these accounts to achieve maximum trading potential.
• Offers customer after-sales support at the highest standard, as efficiently as possible.
• Resolves disputes or any claims to the satisfaction of customer, supplier and the company.
• Complies with product specifications as per customer requirements. Assists and supports the administration with the office tasks including filing, ordering of kitchen/office supplies, lunches as well as smooth operation & maintenance of office equipment.
• Meets and exceeds the agreed personal targets and objectives and works constructively and jointly to meet departmental targets and objectives.
• Keeps Supervisor informed of any problems or concerns that may arise in daily business conduct.
• Seeks advice and direction from HOD or Senior when creating quotations to clients (over 3K), keeping in mind credit limits approved and overall exposure on account.
• Implements the Group’s Management System and makes suggestions for improvements.
Required Qualifications / Competencies
• University Degree or other academic qualifications preferably in a shipping or marketing related field.
• 2 years’ experience in a related sales/shipping environment
• Strong commercial drive with excellent sales and negotiation skills
• Confident communicator with verbal and written fluency in the English language
• Good team player and positive attitude
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
