Honoring the memory of President Claudio Graziano by initiating a research path aimed at commemorating his commitment through specific training projects and a scholarship funded by Fincantieri Foundation and jointly created with the Center for Advanced Defense Studies.

This prestigious recognition is for a man who dedicated his life to the service of the Nation, the Armed Forces, and national and European institutions with competence and professionalism.

The scholarship will be awarded to those Ph.D. graduates who will obtain their academic title at CASD and distinguish themselves for their studies in the fields of defense and security, with particular focus on maritime defense, the underwater dimension, and the defense industry.

“Through this initiative,” says Pierroberto Folgiero, CEO and General Manager of Fincantieri, “we wanted to honor the memory of our President Claudio Graziano by continuing to keep alive his passion for training and his systemic vision of the geopolitical landscape and the defense industry, through the research and projects that the scholarship will support.”

The project also includes the organization of joint events, workshops, and seminars to foster dialogue and knowledge sharing between sector experts and young researchers, promoting interdisciplinary integration between the academic world and defense research. An ecosystem of initiatives aimed at commemorating General Claudio Graziano on themes always dear to him and to which he personally committed.

Fincantieri and CASD are engaged to further develop this collaboration with the common goal of promoting research and innovation for an increasingly secure and technologically advanced future.
