Both organisations sign a Memorandum of Understanding to create more opportunities for youths and young adults to connect with the maritime industry

The Singapore Maritime Foundation and Pertamina International Shipping signed a Memorandum of Understanding  to cooperate in creating more opportunities for youths and young adults to connect with the maritime industry—a vital economic sector at the nexus of world trade and the global supply chain.

Under the MOU, PIS AP aims to offer one  MaritimeONE Scholarships, two  MaritimeONE Internships, and sponsor one  MaritimeONE Case Competitions prizes over a five-year period from 2024-2028. In all of the above, SMF will provide secretariat support to organise and market the programmes to the talent pool.

“The Singapore Maritime Foundation curates and spearheads a series of targeted talent development programmes under the MaritimeONE umbrella, which signifies the industry coming together as one for a cause that all of us care deeply about. I warmly welcome Pertamina International Shipping Asia Pacific as a partner in our shared mission to build a talent pool for the industry, particularly at this exciting juncture as we prepare the workforce for the transformational changes that are taking shape,” said Mr. Hor Weng Yew, Chairman, Singapore Maritime Foundation.
