CMA D. ARGOUDELIS & CO S.A. proudly announces its support as a “GOLD” sponsor for the Poseidon Team of the University of West Attica. This strategic partnership includes both financial and service-based support for the Poseidon team’s research and educational project titled: “Participation of an Experimental Car in International Competitions in Economy – Poseidon”. This initiative focuses on the complete design and construction of an innovative low-consumption electric car, which will compete in prestigious international competitions among university teams worldwide.

As a “GOLD” sponsor, CMA will be prominently featured across the Poseidon team’s social media channels, website, clothing, banners, and poster advertisements. The sponsor’s logo will be proudly displayed on the vehicle itself, and a team vehicle will be made available for sponsor events. Additionally, CMA will gain visibility through the team’s presence at relevant industry events.

The Poseidon Team is a dynamic research student group from the University of West Attica, dedicated to designing and building single-seater vehicles. The team began in 2012 with two mechanical engineering students and their project, Trireme. Over the years, the team has participated in notable competitions such as the SHELL ECO-MARATHON and they made their debut in Formula Student East 2023 in the Combustion Vehicles category. Now they are getting prepared for their first participation in the Electric Vehicles category. 

The Poseidon Team has developed several vehicles to date:

• Dominator 1 and Dominator 2: Early models that faced construction challenges and did not achieve recorded performance.
• RENA: Competed for four years, gathering essential data that informed the design and construction of the next model.
• ORCA: Awarded for both design and performance on the track, setting the Panhellenic Record in the Prototype Battery Electric category.
• ORION: The first Formula Student vehicle of the team, participated in Formula Student East 2023, 10th place in the Combustion Vehicles category

CMA’s sponsorship will empower the Poseidon Team to push the boundaries of innovation and sustainability in automotive engineering, representing Greece on the international stage.
