The company’s delegation was briefed on the latest technological developments and ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the shipping sector

Eurogate Container Terminal Limassol , operator of the container terminal at the Port of Limassol, participated in the TOC Europe international exhibition for port and cargo supply chain professionals, which took place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, between 11-13 June 2024.

During the exhibition, Eurogate’s delegation, consisting of Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Alexandros Demetriades and members of the company’s Operations and Technical Services departments, met with representatives of specialised port equipment, spare parts manufacturers and software development companies.

The delegation was also briefed on the latest technology available in the production chain, the potential of Artificial Intelligence in the industry, as well as methods and ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the shipping sector. They also attended lectures and met with representatives of other terminals with whom they exchanged views.

Meanwhile, a three-member Eurogate delegation participated in the Posidonia Shipping Exhibition 2024 which took place between 3-7 June. The delegation paid a visit to the Port of Piraeus and met with the directors of the Port of Thessaloniki to exchange views, share experiences and discuss best practices on issues pertaining to technology, equipment etc.
