Minister Plenipotentiary Tucci will be San Marino’s new Deputy Permanent Representative to the IMO

As part of a longstanding and fruitful engagement as the General Director of San Marino Ship Register, Mr Gianluca Tucci has been nominated by their Excellencies, the Captain Regents, as Minister Plenipotentiary and Deputy Permanent Representative to the International Maritime Organisation IMO.
The swearing-in ceremony has taken place on April 22^nd, 2024, at the presence of The Most Excellent Captains Regent, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Luca Beccari, as well as representatives of the San Marino Maritime Navigation Authority, and San Marino Ship Register’s board.

The appointment comes as San Marino focusses on the maritime sector in a series of ministerial events set to boost the country’s and the Shipping Registry’s international visibility. Minister Tucci will be present with his team at the next bilateral meeting with Italy organised on May 9th, 2024 in collaboration with the San Marino Maritime Cluster and San Marino State Secretariats for Foreign Affairs and Finance and Budget.
