Provaris to introduce a new AI agent ‘Garry’’ to help understand the benefits of compressed hydrogen

Provaris Energy is excited to launch our AI agent Garry, a new tool to assist shareholders and industry stakeholders to better appreciate and understand the many benefits of Provaris’ unique approach to the bulk-scale marine transport of compressed ‘gaseous’ hydrogen.

Agent Garry allows you to ask questions of our highly regarded 2023 Hydrogen Marine Transport Comparison Report released in May 2023. The report has been used by many in the industry to understand the numerous advantages of the compressed storage and maritime transport hydrogen supply chain, which is now being recognised as a viable alternative and low-cost delivery method for the regional transport of hydrogen. Recognition is now evident through our collaboration partner developments with Norwegian Hydrogen in Norway, and the recently announced MOUs for development of supply chain solutions with German utilities.

The 2023 report compared the delivery cost of hydrogen for three hydrogen energy
vectors (compression, liquefaction, and ammonia) when integrated with a variable renewable energy profile to produce hydrogen. It found that the energy use and losses across the entire supply chain (generation, production, and delivery) associated with liquefaction and ammonia exceeded 40%, whilst compression remained below 20%. For this reason, the report concluded compression was the most cost-effective option for regional transport distances from 500 to 4,000 nautical miles; with volumes of up to 500,000 tonnes per annum.

Provaris now welcomes you to directly interact and ask their own questions about the report using AI Agent Garry available the Provaris website on the Supply Chain overview webpage. We will be making further upgrades to the content and functionality of Garry throughout 2024.

For examples of how you can prompt the AI to answer questions about the 2023 Hydrogen Marine Transport Comparison Report we provide some questions to get you started.
