UK’s premium-value, no-fly cruise line launches new entertainment programme featuring an impressive lineup of very special guests on selected sailings

Ambassador Cruise Line is building on its outstanding entertainment and enrichment offering for the upcoming season with ‘In Conversation With…’, a light-hearted series of talks, Meet and Greets, Q&As and Quiz Nights featuring a wealth of stage and screen legends, entertainers, sports stars and more on 15 selected sailings.

Reflecting its traditionally British roots, the premium value, no-fly cruise line will be welcoming some of the UK’s most popular names onboard both Ambience and Ambition throughout the 2024/25 season, with all those onboard invited to watch a celebrity speaker, performer or athlete talk about their life experience interspersed with questions from the Ambassador audience.

From The Chase’s ‘The Beast’ Mark Labbett and ‘Dark Destroyer’ Shaun Wallace to hairstylist and TV personality Nicky Clarke and West End & Soap Star Claire Sweeney, the interactive ‘In Conversation With…’ sailings have been specially designed to provide guests with ample opportunities to listen, learn and be surprised as they enjoy themselves across each of the itineraries.

ITV’s ‘The Chase’ Star Shaun Wallace

Hosted on Ambition’s Scenic Sights of France and Northern Spain sailing departing Bristol Royal Portbury on 23 May 2024, guests on this cruise can experience the charm of port cities along the coastline of France and Spain while getting up close and personal with Shaun Wallace, the Barrister, Lecturer and ‘Dark Destroyer’ on ITV quiz show, The Chase.

ITV’s ‘The Chase’ Star Mark Labbett

Joining guests onboard Ambience’s Jewels of the Mediterranean, departing from London Tilbury on 3 October 2024, is “Mark Labbett – the former math’s teacher and professional quizzer who competed on Mastermind, Countdown, Only Connect, University Challenge and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire before landing his role as ‘The Beast’ on The Chase. Those onboard this sunny 21-night sailing can take in the sights of the Med, while testing their knowledge at a quiz night hosted by Mark.

West End Star and Actor, Claire Sweeney

Hosted on Ambition’s River Seine Experience & Antwerp cruise departing from Newcastle Tyne on 19 October 2024, guests can experience the beauty of the River Seine and historical Antwerp while getting to know Claire Sweeney, best known for starring in Channel 4’s Brookside and her roles in the West End. The eight-night sailing will take guests to Belgium and France making a total of four ports of call.

Onboard Ambition’s Treasures of Norway & Denmark departing Newcastle Tyne on 27 October 2024, guests will have the chance to hear from the six-time Olympian and Javelin Gold Medalist Tessa Sanderson CBE. Throughout the 11-night sailing, there will be five ports of call in breathtaking cities along the Scandinavian coastline.

Joining guests onboard Ambience’s Canaries, Cape Verde & Morocco sailing departing London Tilbury on 15 November 2024, is Fred Dinenage, the veteran TV presenter famed for hosting long-running children’s TV show ‘How’ and, more recently, ‘Britain’s Most Evil Killers’ and ‘The World’s Most Evil Killers’ on Sky Crime. Guests can expect beautiful vistas across nine ports of call, while learning more about Fred’s celebrated 60-year career in broadcasting.
