Women’s International Shipping & Trading Association Cyprus is excited to announce the launch of its mentorship program, MentorWave. Designed to nurture and guide early-career professionals in the maritime sector, both at sea and onshore, this program aims to bridge the gap for those starting out or transitioning within the shipping industry. It warmly extends its welcome to seasoned experts from other sectors exploring opportunities in shipping, as well as professionals navigating the shift between office-based and onboard roles.
Natalia Bury Loyal, President of WISTA Cyprus, emphasizes the essence of MentorWave: “At the core of our initiative is the dedication to providing focused guidance, steadfast support, and critical industry insights to our mentees. We are deeply committed to the belief that mentorship is a key catalyst for both personal and professional development, capable of steering individuals through the stimulating challenges of the maritime world.”
The program spans six months and promises a series of enriching sessions that facilitate meaningful connections between mentees and their mentors.
MentorWave is a collaborative endeavour, supported by the Cyprus Shipping Chamber and YoungShip Cyprus. This synergy underscores our collective commitment to fostering a vibrant, well-supported community of new entrants to the maritime industry, equipping them to make significant contributions to the sector.
