Danish Shipping Diversity Award 2024 is now open for nominations

This year, Danish Shipping’s Diversity Award is being given out for the third time, and nominations for this year’s award are now open. Both individuals within shipping companies and the companies themselves can be nominated for having done something special to focus on DEI – diversity, equality, and inclusion.
Danish Shipping’s is given to a member of Danish Shipping or The Danish Ferry Association, who has done something special to create new initiatives or new knowledge about DEI – diversity, equality, and inclusion – in the shipping industry or within the company.
Nominations are now open. They will be judged by a jury before a winner is announced at a large party in the Danish Shipping’s courtyard, when we host the Blue Pride Bar on August 17, 2024.
“We want to recognize and celebrate the great and impressive work that takes place in our shipping companies every day to promote diversity, equality, and inclusion. The previous winners were individuals and companies that really make a positive difference in our industry. I look forward to seeing the nominations for this year’s prize,” says Anne W. Trolle, Director of Labor, Recruitment, and Education at Danish Shipping.

During the selection process, emphasis is placed on the nominated individual or shipping company having made a significant impact in at least one DEI area, either within the industry or within their company. This could include:
Creating a new DEI initiative by actively using new knowledge or practices in the field.
Actively working to promote a DEI mindset among employees, leaders, and partners, thereby serving as a positive ambassador for the company in this area
