State of the art internet for P&O Cruises Australia

November 1, 2023

Australia’s favourite cruise line is offering guests improved connectivity, just in time for the summer holidays.

P&O Cruises Australia has begun installing Starlink satellite services, meaning a faster and more reliable internet connection, even while the ships are in the middle of the Pacific Ocean.

Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter’s rollout is now complete, with Pacific Explorer to be finished in November.

“Whether it’s sharing holiday moments with friends and family back home, uploading a picture of a sunset, or catching up on the news, Starlink will make it even easier for our guests to stay connected,” said Peter Little, Senior Vice President Guest Experience, P&O Cruises Australia.

Starlink’s network of Low Earth Orbit satellites will also help the crew on P&O’s three ships stay in touch with loved ones, while enhancing operational functions like real-time communications between ship and shore teams.

P&O’s internet plans can be found here and guests can purchase plans, tailored to the level of connection they desire, by logging in to Cruise Control before they sail.
