New Riva 50Metri launched, a masterpiece of boundless beauty

The third unit of this fantastic megayacht enters the water in Ancona at the Riva Superyachts Division.
A new Riva 50Metri shines bright with beauty and elegance, ready to ply the world’s oceans. The launch of the third unit of this ‘Made in Italy’ marvel in the yachting world took place over the weekend at the Riva Superyachts Division in Ancona. A magnificent heir to the famous ‘Caravelle’ and ‘Atlantic’ series motor yachts, Riva 50Metri combines the inborn majesty of a megayacht with Riva’s classic stylistic hallmarks, bringing together the finest craftsmanship with the most advanced technology.
Riva 50metri is the result of collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the firm founded by Mauro Micheli and Sergio Beretta, the Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department.
With a steel displacement hull and an aluminium superstructure, Riva 50Metri extends across five decks, has a maximum beam of nine metres, and can accommodate 10 guests and 9 crew members. Her profile is defined by three horizontal bands running from stern to bow, which taken together with the hull’s metallic silver livery give it a uniquely dynamic look. The clean, elegant lines are pointed up by the clever use of materials, that unmistakable mixture of steel, glass and mahogany which skilfully blends legendary hallmarks with an ultramodern design vision.
Everything on board Riva 50Metri is designed so that the owner and their guests can take every advantage of the settings and enjoy the water and outdoor areas to the fullest. The indoor-outdoor dialogue creates spacious areas for relaxing and entertaining whatever the occasion. One example is the main lounge, entered through a door that opens up completely to form a palatial open space with the cockpit, which flows in its turn into the lounge forward and a wide corridor to starboard. The 120 sq m sundeck, of which 90 sheltered by the hard top, offers guests the choice of relaxing in unparalleled comfort in the generous sunbathing area, or around the dining table with barbecue, in the relaxation area with sofas and pop-up TV, or in the gorgeous hydromassage pool. The generous interiors welcome guests with refined decor inspired by Riva’s unique story: polished steel components and chiaroscuro interplays between tones of grey and mahogany segue from stern to bow, creating a continuum across all the settings, with a design that perfectly incorporates function and aesthetics.
The launch of Riva 50Metri at the Riva Superyachts Division in Ancona was attended by the EMEA-based owner, who is a huge fan of the brand and already owns another Riva. Also under construction in the Riva Superyachts Division is Riva 54 Metri, the brand’s largest and newest project, scheduled for delivery in 2025.
