Julia Weiss joined StormGeo as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

StormGeo announces hiring Julia Weiss as its new Chief Marketing and Communications Officer. In her new role, Weiss will become part of StormGeo’s executive management team, leading the positioning of StormGeo as a superior software and services provider in the maritime and energy industries.
“Julia brings a valuable blend of marketing leadership skills, digital capabilities, and industry knowledge that will help StormGeo fuel growth and drive innovation in the industries we serve,” says Søren Andersen, CEO of StormGeo. “We strongly believe that with Julia’s leadership, we will strengthen our international reputation and become the trusted partner for companies operating at the intersection of technology and sustainability in the maritime and energy verticals.”
Weiss brings extensive experience in the energy sector to her new role at StormGeo, having served as Head of Marketing and Communications at the technology company Volue and Senior Vice President/Director at the market intelligence company Rystad Energy – in addition to holding senior marketing roles in the energy software industry.
In her role, Weiss will oversee the company’s global marketing and communications strategy, positioning StormGeo further as a leading and trusted voice within industry conversations while driving growth, loyalty, and genuine change for StormGeo, its partners, and society at large.
“I am thrilled to join StormGeo, working with a global team of experts and thought leaders dedicated to ensuring industry innovation, business continuity, and critical resource optimization for our partners,” said Weiss. “StormGeo already has a strong brand in some of our key markets, and I am excited to leverage the penetrating insights of our global pool of experts and analysts to make that brand even stronger internationally.”
Weiss has an educational background in PR and media relations. She is originally from Germany but has lived and worked in Australia, the US, the UK, and Norway.
