Emerald Azzurra won Cruise Critic Editors’ Pick award for ‘Best New Luxury Ship’

The winners of the 2022 Cruise Critic Editors’ Pick awards have been announced, and Emerald Cruises is honoured that our first groundbreaking luxury yacht, Emerald Azzurra, has won the ‘Best New Luxury Ship’ award.
Since setting off on her maiden voyage across the Red Sea in March of this year, Emerald Azzurra has epitomised the luxury small ship experience. We’re thrilled that the editors of the independent review website, Cruise Critic, have declared us as the winners of this prestigious award, and we’re excited to welcome our guests on board to revel in luxury as they explore exciting destinations such as the Caribbean, Central America, the Mediterranean, and more.
Here’s what Cruise Critic’s editors had to say about Emerald Azzurra:
“With Emerald Azzurra, Emerald Cruises has staked its claim in the world of luxury cruising. Its 100-person cruise ship looks and feels like a mega-yacht, with sleek, modern spaces, gorgeous outdoor enclaves and suites that are decked out with anything a guest could need. Playing on the yacht theme, the intimate ship features a marina that doubles as a sundeck, for water-based activities in warm climates.”

Hitting the double

Receiving the ‘Best New Luxury Ship’ award for Emerald Azzurra has brought back wonderful memories from when we won the ‘Best New River Ship’ award for the first of our river-cruising Star-Ships, Emerald Sky and Emerald Star, in 2014. We strive to innovate and improve with each new vessel launched, and our latest accolade is testament to the dedication that goes into providing the luxury small ship experience for our guests.

What’s on the horizon for Emerald Cruises?

With the inaugural season of Emerald Azzurra’s sister yacht, Emerald Sakara, coming in 2023, we’re passionately committing ourselves to building further on the legacy of our award-winning river and yacht cruises. 2023 and 2024 are set to be big years for Emerald Cruises, with a range of exciting itineraries planned, and we’re looking forward to welcoming you on board for the adventure.
