Leading maritime training and consultancy service provider in alternative fuels Stream Marine Technical has demonstrated its commitment to the maritime 2050 decarbonisation goals with the appointment of Steve Wales as Head of Strategic Business Development.
Stream Marine Technical , part of the Stream Marine Training Group, is delighted to welcome Mr Wales to the team to lead its quest into a greener maritime future. His vast experience in the oil & gas sector, and expert knowledge in LNG and Hydrogen is a great addition to the company.
Mr Wales brings a great wealth of experience and knowledge, having spent the last 25 years working in the oil & gas industry where he gained a broad experience of the transport sector for both oil/diesel and gas (LNG/CNG/Hydrogen), as well as experience of the off-grid sector in LNG and Hydrogen.
The former Chief Petty Officer with the Royal Naval Reserves also spent 15 years working at BP, initially on lubricants before working as a National Account Manager for diesel sales across the UK HGV business sector.
Mr Wales spent more than 30 years serving with the Royal Navy Reserves and has held various onboard and offshore roles during his lengthy maritime career.
Over the past seven years, the new Strategic Business Development Head at SMT has worked as a Major Accounts Manager for BOC, responsible for managing and growing the UK portfolio of LNG and Hydrogen customers, managing BOC’s first on-road LNG station in the UK at Carlisle and its first Hydrogen refuelling station at Swindon.
