Discussing specific actions to build a clean ammonia supply chain toward decarbonization
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, announced the company’s participation in the 19th Ammonia Energy Conference 2022 organized by the Ammonia Energy Association at which MOL Executive Officer Tomoaki Ichida delivered the keynote speech on its clean alternative fuel strategy and participated in a panel discussion on the establishment of a clean ammonia supply chain, discussing the importance of collaboration and specific actions among stakeholders
MOL has formulated MOL Group Environmental Vision 2.1 and is pursuing environmentally friendly initiatives in line with five strategies, including the adoption of clean alternative fuels. As the only shipping company that participated in the discussions of the “Mission Possible Partnership,” a public-private partnership aimed at decarbonizing industries, in which the World Economic Forum participated in September of this year, and as a result of early endorsement of its proposal “Making Net-Zero Ammonia Possible” (Note 2), MOL was invited to the Ammonia Energy Conference 2022.
