VTTI and UAB Online expanded international collaboration to ATB terminal in Malaysia

UAB-Online is strengthening its collaboration with VTTI with the roll out to another terminal of its Software-as-a-Service  platform that optimises operations in liquid bulk shipping. ATB in Malaysia will be the fourth VTTI terminal to use UAB-Online’s application.

UAB-Online’s application contains a number of smart functionalities for Masters, charterers, terminals, agents and surveyors, which are designed to optimise the complete process of a vessel’s pre-arrival administration and handling of inland and sea-going vessels. It ensures an effective and efficient operational marine execution process, with a safe and optimised berth utilisation as the ultimate goal.

The application aims to save time and increase jetty efficiency, from pre-arrival to departure, leaving all involved parties better prepared and more focused on the management of the load-and unload operations.

VTTI previously started working with UAB-Online’s solution for process optimisation in 2020 at its Rotterdam (ETT) and Amsterdam (ETA) terminals, before introducing it to its ATPC terminal in Antwerp.

Using digital platforms like UAB-Online in its daily operations makes VTTI’s global initiatives to optimise the entire operational VTTI value chain tangible and further enhances its service to customers.

UAB-Online’s latest move confirms its developing presence in the Asian market. Hans Bobeldijk, UAB-Online’s Chief Executive officer, said: “This expansion of our collaboration emphasises the solid and excellent relationship between VTTI and UAB-Online. We are proud to take on this international journey with VTTI. We will co-develop an integrated solution that will improve the entire supply chain and benefit all stakeholders in liquid bulk shipping. Let’s show the rest of the world how optimal liquid bulk operations can be done.”
