Mintra secured Digital learning contract with Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement

Digital learning and human capital management specialist Mintra has been awarded a three-year contract by Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement to provide digital learning for more than 20,000 seafarers.
BSM, a top-tier third-party ship management company, will gain access to Mintra’s learning and competency management system Trainingportal with over 1.5 million users worldwide. The customised solution hosts Mintra’s award-winning digital learning portfolio of more than 200 maritime titles as well as a selection of bespoke content.
Trainingportal will seamlessly integrate into BSM’s existing systems, enabling enhanced automation for the delivery of safety critical seafarer learning and development across the group. The new partnership will also encompass BSM’s much heralded International Maritime Training Centres and introduce a variety of innovative digital training initiatives and technology.
Trainingportal also features an offline solution, which allows the users to access learning in areas with limited or no connectivity. Mintra’s comprehensive digital course portfolio includes a wide range of maritime-specific health, safety, regulatory, operational and technical subjects.
Kevin Short, CEO of Mintra, said: “We are thrilled that BSM has chosen Mintra to deliver best-in-class digital learning solutions for their global workforce. This contract confirms the quality and scope of our offering as we continue to attract high calibre clients worldwide. The partnership also cements Mintra’s position as a leading maritime learning provider and further expands our market share in the sector. We look forward to working closely with BSM to support the development and deployment of their international workforce.”
BSM is an integrated maritime solutions provider, managing a fleet of over 650 vessels, more than 20,000 seafarers and 2,000 shore-based employees to enable the delivery of safe, reliable and efficient ship management services. As a member of the Schulte Group, BSM benefits from its 135+ years of experience in the shipping industry.
