Valenciaport increases its commercial work

The Port Authority of Valencia  will present its reefer traffic offer with a hundred regular services for perishable traffic and 3,250 containers for refrigerated products

The PAV will continue its agenda of commercial activities in October with participation in Fruit Attaction, Conxemar and the 62nd edition of the European Commodity Exchange

The Port Authority of Valencia  will present its commercial and service offer this week at the 14th edition of Cool Logistics 2022 in Barcelona. The Commercial and Business Development area of the APV continues with its intense agenda of promoting Valenciaport’s activity in the main national and international events.

Valenciaport will show at Cool Logistic its specialised offer for refrigerated traffic thanks to its optimum strategic location very close to both importers and exporters, which makes the Port of Valencia a key port for this type of traffic in the Mediterranean. The Valencian precinct has a hundred regular services with the five continents for perishable traffic, which enables access to many more markets. And 3,250 connections for refrigerated containers as well as refrigerated warehouses for perishable goods. Specifically, the CSP Iberian terminal (Cosco) has 1,500 reefer connections, APM (Maersk) has 750 while MSC Terminal has around 1,000 connections.

The Port of Valencia mainly exports pork, vegetables, beef and citrus fruit, while other vegetables, fresh fruit, molluscs and crustaceans are imported. In 2021, the port facilities of Valencia, Sagunto and Gandia handled more than 200,000 TEUs of import-export of agri-food and meat products. China, the United States, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, Canada and Saudi Arabia are the main destinations for Valencian and Spanish agri-food products, while Peru, Brazil, China, India and Senegal are the main importing regions.

Cool Logistics, a trade fair hosted by the PAV in 2019, brings together the main players in the refrigerated products logistics scene and will provide a meeting place where owners of perishable cargo, logistics and transport professionals and representatives of shipping companies and port authorities can discuss and evaluate the technological keys and market trends for this sector.

The PAV will continue its agenda of commercial activities in October with participation in Fruit Attaction, Conxemar and the 62nd edition of the European Commodity Exchange. Valeciaport will boost this activity in the coming months with participation in various promotional events.
