Leadership changes at APM Terminals West Med

The change of daily leadership at APM Terminals West Med is now complete. Handover and appointments have taken place during the past month for all 3 newly appointed Chief Operating Officers.
Nabil Zine-Eddine – Chief Operating Officer, APM Terminals Tangier (TC1)
Effective September 2022, Nabil Zine-Eddine has taken takes over the position of Chief Operations Officer at APM Terminals Tangier llowing the appointment of the terminal’s previous COO Rex Jackson as Head of Global Operations. A Moroccan national, Nabil has been with APM Terminals in Tangier for 15 years starting as Yard Supervisor and has since then been in various roles, most recently as Execution Manager since 2018.

Zsanett Balla – Chief Operating Officer, APM Terminals Algeciras
Effective September 2022, Zsanett Balla has taken over the position of Chief Operations Officer at APM Terminals Algeciras (Spain). Zsanett Balla comes from a position of Director of Terminal Investments at Terminal Investment Limited (TIL), where she was responsible for the financial and operational performance of a portfolio of 7 deep sea container terminals. She also represented the company on the board of directors of fully owned and joint venture businesses, including MPET (Antwerp, Belgium), KAP (Saudi Arabia) and ADT (Abu Dhabi).
In addition, Zsanett Balla’s professional experience includes Internal Audit, having worked in audit at TIL in Geneva and previously at Philips in The Netherlands, as well as Procurement, with roles in strategic sourcing at Bombardier in Montreal, Canada and A.P. Moller – Maersk in Copenhagen.

Zsanett, who is Brazilian, is a former Maersk International Shipping Education (MISE) trainee and she started her career with Maersk in São Paulo in Brazil, where she gained experience in procurement, customer service and operations.
“I am very excited about my new experience and adventure at APM Terminals Algeciras, which is one of the largest and most important hubs in APM Terminals’ global network. We have ambitious and exciting transformation goals ahead of us and I look forward to embarking on this journey together with my new team”, shares Zsanett Balla.
Following a successful handover to Zsanett, the previous COO in Algeciras, Jesús Cáceres, has now moved on to his new role as Regional Head of Operations, Africa and Europe at APM Terminals.
“I would like to thank Jesús for his exceptional contribution to Algeciras, where he has spent over 5 years running and continuously improving our operations. He leaves behind a strong team, focused on performance, safety and with a customer-centric mindset”, says Keld Pedersen.
Magnus Lundberg – Chief Operating Officer, APM Terminals Med Port Tangier (TM2)
Effective August, Magnus Lundberg joined APM Terminals Med Port as Chief operating Officer. Magnus comes with over 19 years of experience in operations, procurement, and transformation. In his past role as Head of Commercial Nordic, Magnus has been a key member of the local Senior Management Team ensuring the sustainable development and transformation of APM Terminals Nordic.

A Swedish national, Magnus joined Maersk in 2015 as COO in APM Terminals Gothenburg. Before joining APM Terminals, Magnus worked for Carlsberg in various managerial roles where he gained both commercial and operational experience, including extensive experience with Lean. Magnus holds an MSc from Linkoping University and is married to Anna and with their two boys, Nils and Otto, they look forward to exploring Morocco together.
