Interns with ONE CEO, Mr Jeremy Nixon

Earlier this month, Ocean Network Express welcomed 4 internsfrom Kobe University, Japan. This is the first time ONE has accepted Japanese university students for a weeklong internship program.

A weeklong program which began on the 5th of September, the students had the opportunity to learn more about ONE’s business operations through lectures given by ONE specialists across multiple departments. Held at our Singapore head office, the lectures covered a wide range of topics from ship operations to sustainability. Apart from lectures, the students also had the chance to visit the terminal and know more about other activities in the global supply chain. The program was designed to give students a wide range of exposure across the shipping business to help them better understand the industry when they choose their future careers,

At the end of the internship program, each student gave a presentation on what they learned, shared their thoughts and a lively discussion followed.

The program ended with great success, and ONE will now consider expanding the program to accept students from various countries in the future
