Aurora Expeditions expands UK team

Katie Harber

Aurora Expeditions, the award-winning Australian adventure travel company, has announced it is growing its UK team with the addition of a new Business Development Manager, Katie Harber.

Aurora Expeditions, who recently released a new season of 2023-24 Antarctica and 2023 Arctic & British Isles voyages, is eager to meet the growing appetite for remote wilderness and expedition travel from the UK market and strengthen its representation to its valued trade partners.

Katie brings a keen drive to grow Aurora’s market share within the UK, an understanding and firsthand experience of remote nature travel, and extensive lead generation skills from her varied travel industry experience, including work with tour operators, a small- ship start-up and onboard cruise ships.

Katie will join the existing UK team of Jos Dewing, Managing Director UK, along with James Turner, Business Development Manager.

“Aurora Expeditions is committed to growing and investing in the UK market,” commented Jos Dewing, Managing Director UK.

“We have seen incredibly strong growth from this market, particularly with our continued innovation in product offering and expansion of voyages within the European Arctic and British Isles, such as the unique Jewels of Coastal UK itinerary sailing in 2023. We are thrilled to welcome Katie to the Aurora family and look forward to working together with our valued trade networks to continue to raise awareness of Aurora’s unique offering and meet the growing trend of remote travel to the polar regions and beyond.”

Aurora Expeditions’ second purpose-built expedition ship, the Sylvia Earle, is due to debut in late 2022.
