AIDA Cruises opens cruise season in Warnemünde

On April 11, 2022, AIDAdiva will open the cruise season in Warnemünde. With AIDAmar and AIDAvita, two more AIDA ships will set sail from Warnemünde. Deep blue fjords, fascinating landscapes and picturesque villages await guests on the voyages to Northern Europe. The Baltic Sea tours promise an exciting mix of vibrant Baltic Sea metropolises and the distinctive nature of the Baltic region. A total of 60 calls by AIDA ships are planned at Warnemünde this year.

The first of these is AIDAdiva. The cruise ship will arrive in Warnemünde on April 11, 2022, and will initially go on four-day short voyages to Sweden with calls in Stockholm and Visby. After a scheduled shipyard stop at the end of April, the popular voyages to Norway and Denmark as well as cruises to the Baltic Sea metropolises such as Stockholm and Copenhagen are on the schedule for AIDAdiva from mid-May to October.

The second ship to follow is AIDAmar. The cruise ship has left its winter destination and will dock at the Baltic Sea resort on April 14, 2022. Until October, the ship will sail on nine- and ten-day cruises to Scandinavia or to Norway. For example, the program includes three Nordic capitals – Oslo, Copenhagen and Stockholm – as well as calls in Gothenburg, Aarhus and Visby. The journeys toward Norway contain traveling through three different fjords to Eidfjord, Olden and Vik, as well as to Bergen, Skagen, Kristiansand and Gothenburg.

From July 24, 2022, the Baltic Sea coast can be explored on varied routes from Warnemünde with AIDAvita. Highlights include a visit to the island of Bornholm, a trip to the Nordic capitals of Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo, and stops in Sundsvall, one of Sweden’s most beautiful cities. On some sailings, a new port on the itinerary is Karlskrona, Sweden’s only baroque city, or Aalborg in the middle of Denmark’s Limfjord.

In addition to numerous voyages from the home port of Warnemünde, AIDA Cruises also offers cruises from Kiel and Hamburg again this year. This year’s season in Kiel starts with AIDAluna on April 25, 2022, followed by AIDAnova and AIDAbella in May. A number of AIDA ships has already called at Hamburg this year. A special highlight was the first call of the new ship AIDAcosma, which will also be christened in the Hanseatic city on April 9, 2022.

With the AIDA Summer Promise, AIDA Cruises offers its guests added flexibility and security. When booking a new trip in the 2022 summer season until May 31, 2022, guests can rebook once free of charge up to 30 days before the start of the trip – in all fares, both the travel date and the route. This applies to departures from March 30 to October 31, 2022.
