The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, the trade association of the Shipping Industry in Cyprus, seeks to employ with immediate effect a:

Technical Officer

Main Duties:

The successful applicant will be working at the Chamber’s Secretariat in Limassol. He/She will act as the Technical Officer reporting to the Marine Manager and will mainly be responsible for:

• Technical, Environmental, Safety and Security issues relating to ships
• The organisation and co-ordination of the Chamber’s relevant Committees
• Liaising with Governmental and other professional bodies

Qualifications / Requirements:

• University Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering and must have previous experience in the technical or quality department of a shipping company or in a class society
• Excellent written and spoken Greek and English
• Computer highly literate and experienced in a network environment
• Strong sense of professionalism, organisation and efficiency
• Effective communication skills

Remuneration:

A very good remuneration package which includes 13th salary, life and medical insurance and provident fund, will be offered to the successful candidate.
