Tototheo Maritime Vacancy – UI/UX Designer

Job Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic UI/UX Designer who will be responsible for the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of our various online applications, user interfaces, company’s websites, and related platforms. The main job purpose of the UI/UX Designer is to ensure that all digital platforms are designed in a cohesive way that allows for the best possible user experience and reflects the company’s overall image standards, which makes this role very important for our success and to ensure customer satisfaction.
This role is required to closely work with the Marketing and Software Development teams to ensure seamless web/mobile design and the successful implementation of UI/UX best practices and principles across all our digital platforms.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan & conduct user research and competitor analysis.
- Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the brand.
- Create prototypes, task flows and wireframes focused on the customer.
- Create user stories & user journeys – Investigate user experience design requirements for our suite of digital assets.
- Conduct usability testing.
- Design the aesthetics to be implemented within a website or product, from the layout menus and drop-down options to colors and fonts.
- Create personas through user research and data.
- Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success.
- Understand product specifications and user psychology.
- Conduct concept and usability testing and gather feedback.
- Collaborating with the Marketing and Software Development teams, and internal and external designers to ensure the creation and delivery of tailored experiences for the digital user.
- Collaborate with other departments to collect the necessary information to successfully complete tasks.
- Use Adobe Creative Cloud applications, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe XD or Sketch.
- Constantly learn and remain up to date with new tools and technologies to ensure the company’s marketing activities are in line with market trends and remain innovative.
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge of the English language.
- Knowledge of Adobe range of products including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver.
- Knowledge of Usability Factors in Human Computer Interaction.
- Ability to work in a team and contribute to a larger project.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Self-learning and ability to maintain an up to date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proactiveness and creativity.
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
- A degree in Computer Science, Graphic or Web Design, or other related fields.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of WordPress will be considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, or other programming languages will be considered an advantage.
