The Sixth ABS Hellenic Technical Committee Meeting


The sixth ABS Hellenic Technical Committee meeting took place virtually on February 9th, with more than 35 distinguished members of the maritime industry and other sectors attending the event.

In this meeting, presentations were given on new technologies aiming to further advance vessel operation and efficiency, such as the digitization of Class, including systems simulation aspects.

On the environmental side, the guest speaker for the meeting, Mr. Dimitri Fafalios, Intercargo Chairman, presented on “The Continuous Greening of the Greek Bulker Fleet,” which was followed by a brief presentation from ABS, on the ABS Enhanced Shaft Alignment Notation.

The meeting concluded with the popular Hellenic Committee technical poll, taken interactively via the virtual platform.
