Greek owned Eurotanker vessel runs aground near Little Basses Reef in Sri Lanka


The Greek owned bulk carrier ‘MV Eurosun’ sailing under Liberian flag carrying cement to Trincomalee Sri Lanka has run aground on offshore lighthouse at Little Basses Reef (Kuda Ravana Kotuwa), the Navy said.

Navy Spokesman Capt. Indika de Silva said the Navy had dispatched two craft to the location.

The vessel began its sail from Abu Dhabi on January 8 and was heading to Trincomalee.
