Tsavliris Cultural Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony

In a short and austere ceremony at CYMEPA offices in Limassol, the cheque for the Tsavliris Cultural Foundation Scholarship was presented to Georgia Fotiou, postgraduate student in Shipping and Finance at the Cyprus University of Technology CUT, as she was unanimously selected as the recipient of the Scholarship for the academic year 2020 – 2021.

The Foundation was represented by its President Akis Montanios, its Secretary Michael Ierides and the Alternate Member of the Board Katerina Papavassiliou. The CUT was represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Management and Economics Professor Photis Panayides and Associate Professor Panayiotis Andreou.

In his address the President expressed his sadness that Maria Philis was unable to attend as in his words, Maria was the soul of the Art Exhibition “Sea and Shipping” that was the source of the funds for last and this year’s scholarships.

The Secretary thanked once again the sponsors of the Exhibition: Fameline Holding Group, DNV-GL, EUROGATE, LEMISSOLER, ISLAND OIL, UMAR-WSR, UNITEAM, Deepblue Insurance, COLUMBIA SHIPMANAGEMENT, EPSCO, ONETECH and Vasiliko Cement Works.

On behalf of CUT Photis Panayides thanked the Foundation for its noble gesture.
