Oceanic Catering is looking after the health and well-being of their seafarers

At Oceanic, we appreciate that seafarers’ life at sea is highly challenging. Work at sea is often physically demanding, but also mentally and emotionally challenging, with crew members away from their home and families for prolonged periods of time. Mental health may affect crew of all ages, nationalities and ranks, having an impact on their psychological, emotional and social well-being.

At Oceanic, seafarers’ health & well-being has become a focal point of our operations due to the close links between well-being and nutrition. Through our professional catering services and the shore-based support of our Health & Well-being Department, we provide dedicated health and lifestyle guidance and advice to crew.

Our team of nutritionists in collaboration with our culinary team ensures that our crew receive healthy and wholesome meals based on dietary guidelines, nutritional needs, and menu planning, while taking into consideration crew nationality, cultural and religious backgrounds.

At Oceanic, looking after the health and well-being of our seafarers is paramount. A healthier lifestyle ultimately benefits the performance of a vessel.
