Bureau Veritas establishes VeriFuel Hellenic Technical Committee

Bureau Veritas, global leaders in testing and inspection for commodities, announced that it has established the VeriFuel Hellenic Technical Committee.
The function of the Committee is to be an effective platform for sharing experience, challenges, concerns and solutions in the area of marine fuels and lubricants.
The VeriFuel Hellenic Technical Committee is based in Greece, one of the most vibrant and knowledgeable shipping hubs in the world. The committee is comprised of leading Greek shipping companies who are represented by highly experienced, senior managers.
Bill Stamatopoulos – Business Development Manager, comments “As VeriFuel are always at the forefront of developments, we are delighted to be the first fuel testing services provider to have a technical committee focusing on fuels. With the IMO 2020 Sulphur Regulations in place and Very Low Sulphur Fuels and Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems already in use, the marine fuel industry navigates into a new, challenging environment; our committee could not be more topical”.
“VeriFuel’s technical expertise in marine fuels is globally acknowledged for providing clear, useful, and transparent support to the shipping industry,” comments Nikolaos Kakalis – Business Development Manager. “Sharing competence and solutions within our Technical Committee, strengthens even further our support of the industry”.
The inauguration and the 1st VeriFuel Hellenic Technical Committee Meeting will be held in Piraeus on March 5th, 2020.
