Cyprus Shipping Chamber re-appointment of “IMO Goodwill Maritime Ambassador”


The Cyprus Shipping Chamber is very pleased to announce that its Deputy Director General, Mr. Alexandros Josephides, was re-appointed as “International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Goodwill Maritime Ambassador” for Cyprus for the period 2020-2021.

Taking this opportunity, the Cyprus Shipping Chamber extends its sincere appreciation to the Shipping Deputy Ministry who promoted and supported the re-appointment of Mr. Josephides at the IMO. 

The Shipping Chamber considers that this prestigious nomination and appointment reflects the recognition of the continuous and most valuable contribution of the Chamber over the years in promoting a Career at Sea and other maritime professions in Cyprus, towards the further enhancement of Cyprus Shipping, for which Mr. Josephides has considerable experience and contribution.

The Chamber pledges to continue its multifaceted activities in promoting Careers at Sea and maritime careers in general, which among others include a programme for elementary school students, visits and presentations to gymnasiums and lyceums and participation in career fairs island wide.
