30 Years Multifaceted Contribution

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, as the trade association of the Shipping Industry in Cyprus, remaining true to its continuous socio-economic and philanthropic contribution to Cyprus society, organised the last blood donation drive for 2019, among the personnel of its Shipping Member-companies.

The blood donation took place on 17 December 2019, at Ygia Polyclinic in Limassol with the participation of the employees of the Shipping Chamber’s Member-companies, reflecting the mentality of the Cyprus Shipping Community which is “united we can do better” and the significant contribution of the Industry to the people of Cyprus.

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, which celebrated its 30^th Year Anniversary this year, has been organising since its establishment in 1989 various social functions, the proceeds of which are donated to charity / welfare organisations for suffering children. In addition, as a result of numerous other blood donations organised by the Shipping Chamber in the past, more than 3000 blood units have been collected, a commendable social service that has been honoured by the Blood Coordinating Committee of the Limassol District.
